One every three consumer products bought in Italy is a Private Label product. In this context, some major retail brands have a superior performance, as it happens in Spain, in the UK, and in France. How is the role of the Private Label developing? How are the relationships in the offer of categories between Private Label, industrial brands, and products of small and medium-sized enterprises changing? How can Italian companies, in Italy and abroad, help retailers understanding the role of Private Label products? Data, scenarios, forecasts, and testimonies, exclusively for the Marca by BolognaFiere business community, will be the focus of the conference held on Wednesday 13th April 2022 during the 18th edition of the only Italian Exhibition dedicated to the Private Label (Bologna Exhibition Center, 12th-13th April 2022).

With the 18th MARCA Report, IRi will take a picture of the performances of the Italian scenario, with a particular focus on the drivers which led to the development of the Private Label. Then, attention will be paid to the results of the first months of 2022.

IPLC will explore this topic further by talking about the changing Europe, with the trends and innovations of the Private Label in Europe, and with retail testimonies from the Iberian Peninsula and the UK. Thanks to integrated and collaborative supply chains and to an excellent productive system, the role of the Private Label products in Italy is one of the most successful in Europe. In fact, a recent research by IPLC confirms that the sales price deviation between Private Label products and corresponding industrial brands products in Italy is one of the lowest in Europe. The growth of the Premium Private Label continues, also thanks to a convenient and promotional proposition that makes high value products more accessible.
