Consumer goods, first 8 months of2017: sales up + 2.6%, premium goods up + 11.5%
Sales of MDD in the FMCG sector grew by 2.6% from January to August of this year. The market share (18.6%) of the same period as last year was confirmed, however, against a contraction of 0.6% (19% overall) with promotional competition, again in relation to the same period of time. Finally, the Premium segment grew by +11.5%.
The points of sale surveyed were Hypermarkets, Supermarkets and the free small traders.
Marca by BolognaFiere in Bologna on 17 and 18 January 2018, reflects the good performance of the market, with an increase in exhibitors and retailers. The layout of the event has been renewed and expanded: next year, the International Exhibition on MDD products at Distributor's Brand - second in Europe - organised by BolognaFiere in collaboration with ADM (Modern Distribution Association), will mark the return to pavilions 25,26,36,21 and 22, two more than the previous edition.
Four new Retailers - REWE Group, Consorzio C3, Leader Price Italia and Pam Panorama - are now taking part to the Technical Scientific Committee, made up by Category Managers.
