A new layout and the addition of two new Groups for Marca by BolognaFiere, due to take place in Bologna on the 17th and 18th January 2018. Next year’s edition of the International event for private label products, organized by BolognaFiere in collaboration with ADM, will see a return to the original pavilions that exhibitors and visitors know well: pavilions 21,22,25,26,36 on the ground floor of the Bologna Exhibition Centre. The technical scientific committee, made up of the leading groups involved in grocery retail, will also see the participation of two new members, the German EWE Group and the Italian Consorzio C3.
 

During the first quarter of 2017, private label products in the sector of packaged mass consumption goods, enjoyed growth of 0.2% in sales, in spite of a contraction of 0.2 points of their market share.

The increase in sales continues to be driven by the segments of premium and organic products, which are growing at a rate 12.8% higher than that of the same period in 2016.
 

Monday 29th May signalled the beginning of the road towards the 14th edition of Marca with the seminar “The private label approach to Russian and Brazilian markets,” as part of the Marca Training Programme. The day, which focussed on training and reinforcing the skills of Italian operators in the private label sector involved with Russian markets in Europe and Brazilian markets in South America, enjoyed the participation of numerous co-packers.
 

In January the most recent edition of Marca concluded with very positive results including the participation of 7,858 visitors, an increase of 4.1% compared with 2016.  Also positive were the exhibitor numbers (615 companies, +16.5% compared with 2016) and the net total exhibition space (15,795 m2 overall, +15% compared with 2016). Present at the fair, in addition to the leading groups in grocery retail, was a significant international contingent of 367 buyers and official delegations from more than 30 countries around the world, involved in B2B meetings with the exhibiting companies interested in exporting their food and non-food products to foreign markets. 

Subscriptions are now open for Marca 2018; the deadline is 28th July in order to have priority in the allocation of exhibition spaces.
